The Missouri Chapter of APCO is committed to building future leaders within our profession and the association. In addition to this, we strive to ensure access to continuing education, personal development and professional development. To further these goals, the Missouri Chapter of APCO issues a scholarship award to both the Spring and Fall Missouri Public Safety Communications Conferences.
The Scholarship is named in Honor of Matthew Knight. Matt served as the Commercial Advisor for the Missouri Chapter of APCO between 2017 and 2021, when he unexpectedly passed away. In addition to his service with Missouri APCO, he also served on the board of Missouri NENA and the Missouri Public Safety Communications Conference. His dedication to the Conference and the public safety communications professionals in Missouri has helped make the conference what it is today and help ensure that quality training and essential technologies are fairly represented at each conference. Through his dedication have the working relationships between commercial partners and ECC staff improved.
