Emergency Communications Goes to Jefferson City 2024 Announced!

Missouri APCO is excited to once again partner with Missouri NENA and the Missouri 911 Directors Association to host the 2024 Emergency Communications Goes to Jefferson City legislative day on Tuesday, April 16th.

During this event, attendees will have the chance to make a positive impact on the emergency communications front through first-hand advocacy on topics such as first-responder mental health legislation and NG911 funding. In addition, this event takes place during the heart of National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week. What better way to celebrate NPSTW than through advocacy, attending a resolution reading recognizing NPSTW and having a chance at meeting the Governor!?
Representatives from Missouri agencies pose with Missouri Governor Mike Parson during the 2023 Emergency Communications Goes to Jefferson City event.
Representatives of several agencies and the Associations pose with Senator Gannon along with copies of the NPSTW resolution presented in the Missouri Senate.
The Associations would love to see representation from all levels of service, frontline, supervisory, and executive during this event. This is the perfect time to show those who represent our family, friends and neighbors, the true faces of the heroes under the headset.

We want you to be as prepared as possible, so this year we will be hosting a preparation and training webinar on Friday, April 5th. During this webinar, learn what you can expect on April 16th, the issues that need to be discussed with the legislatures, and how to plan and conduct an effective meeting.

Information on this webinar will be sent out to RSVP’d attendees a week before the webinar. The Associations along with Penman Group will also be providing talking points and information on legislation as well as information on event logistics in the next few weeks.
If you’re interested and think you will attend, we ask that you RSVP. This will help us have direct contact with you so we may provide instructions and details as well as get a headcount of how many to expect. You can RSVP using the button below.
