The Missouri Chapter of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (MOAPCO) is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Board Member Matthew Knight.
Matt was a true friend to Missouri 9-1-1 and the epitome of the term commercial partner. His dedication to Missouri’s emergency communications professionals was apparent not only through his years of service on the Missouri APCO Board but also on the boards of the Missouri Chapter of the National Emergency Number Association (MONENA) and the Missouri Public Safety Communications Conference (MPSCC). His involvement in Missouri’s emergency communications associations and conference helped to strengthen the ties between our profession and our partners in the private sector who ensure we have the tools at our disposal to efficiently .
Matt will be missed but his legacy will live on. The Missouri Chapter of APCO would like to honor the memory of Matt and his contributions to Missouri 9-1-1 and the MPSCC. From this point forward, the MOAPCO Scholarship to the MPSCC will be known as the Matthew Knight Memorial Scholarship. We ask that you keep Matt’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
