During the Combined Association Meeting on October 11, 2022, the Membership approved a bylaws change giving the Board the power to modify regions as necessary to provide better coverage and service to the members in that region.
Introducing DJ Malone of Central County Emergency 9-1-1. DJ was appointed to fill the newly created role of Eastern Regional Ambassador. DJ will fill the role until the 2023-2025 election period.
DJ Malone has been in the emergency services field since 2002. He is currently a supervisor with Central County Emergency 9-1-1 in St. Louis County, having communications experience with civil unrest, natural disasters, and developing a major public safety digital radio system. He also remains active “on the other side of the radio,” serving as a Reserve Firefighter/EMT in his hometown of Rolla.
The Eastern region is comprised of Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, Perry, Pike, St. Charles, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Warren and Washington Counties.
